When we need to justify ourselves we are far from regret (Sl 51)

Dear friends, I have reflected on some readings that I dedicated a little. In fact, here is the first advice: when we read, we vivify our intellect. But, of course, we need to underscore some things. Not all readings produce the results we usually expect. Some, in fact, lead us away from our goals. Our pleasure in reading reveals our desire to acquire what we do not have yet.
Well, as I know that many will not read more than the one mentioned until here, I kept the words that I really want to say from this moment, where an extra click is necessary. Readers are are distinguished by this, those who wish to click more, just to know the mysteries of information that requires more attention.
Analyzing this psalm and viewing its principles, in the face of what can be perceived, I noticed that David, when identified in his sin, did not hesitate to say: Father, I have sinned against you! Although he delayed his attitude, the king did not attempt to justify his actions. Perhaps he could have tried to establish it as a moment of weakness, or even blame a woman who was taking shower, when she would know that her balcony overlooked the palace of the great king. No! He said: Against Thee alone, Lord (vs 4).
I believe that the world has made a great effort to make us forget that all the sin we commit is, above all, against God. And why should we try to justify, when God knows our thoughts and knows that we can not deceive him? We live in a world where there are no more guilty. As Dr. John MacArthur says in his book The Vanishing Conscience, they are doing everything to nullify people's guilt, for without guilt, there is no sin.
The worst thing is to consent to this attitude, which in fact is the serpent's seed: Eve, it is not quite like this (paraphrasing, you will certainly not die ...). We must remember that the nature of Christianity consists in acknowledging ourselves as GUILTY. There is only regret when we identify this. However, only those who are touched by the Holy Spirit perceive this, the Master said: When he comes, he will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment (John 16: 8).
The current search is to cauterize the mind, annulling any guilt and justifying them as simple mistakes. And what to do with the prayer Jesus taught us, which should serve as the basis for our life with Him? And forgive us our debts ... debts? Which are? We do not have these things ... Woe to us, if we think this way! For although our sins bring no satisfaction to God, judging that we have overcome and said that we no longer sin is as wrong as not recognizing that God is light, and we are extremely dependent on Him!
We are still sinners, yes, the difference is that the Lord has planted in us the dissatisfaction with sin (IICo 7:10). We are not like "pigs in the pigsty" who rejoice in the mud. But, like "stubborn" sheep, we are taking steps to continue our journey. However, when confronted with a situation of sadness with sin, instead of smearing like a pig, we cry like a sheep. But thanks be to God that through the blood of Jesus we have been purified so that we may have fellowship with God and our brothers (1 John 1: 9).
When we seek to justify ourselves, seek pleasures, someone to support our cause, we call people to help us in our sin and we are far from repentance. But when we come before God and say, "Against Thee alone, Oh Lord! Wash me completely! The God who is great in Mercy (Num. 14:18), who forgives iniquity, accomplishes his work in us. And perhaps, if He pleases, He will please us in this service. Yet it certainly reminds us that what matters is that His name be glorified, not ours. "Not to us, O LORD, not to us, but to thy name give glory, for thy lovingkindness and thy truth." (Ps 115: 1)
